Be Gentle With Yourself - You Deserve Better

Today I have three quick easy questions for you....

  1. Do you have a voice in your head?

  2. How do you talk to yourself, do you beat yourself up?

  3. Would you let anyone else talk to you, the way you talk to yourself?

If you answered yes to the first two questions and were surprised when you thought about it and found yourself saying "absolutely no way would someone else get away with speaking to me like that!" to question three, then this exercise is for you.

This exercise will help you to focus on the voice in your head, your mental chatter or the monkey on your back, whatever you call that little voice in your head that is your ego.

EXERCISE

Pay attention to your thoughts, listen to the voice inside your head.

Is it calm or impatient?
Is it supportive or critical?
Is it loving or angry?
Is it approving or disapproving?
Is it encouraging or discouraging?
Is it positive or negetive?

How does it make you feel?

Remember you are not your thoughts, just an observer of them.
So by implementing this new strategy and simply observing your thoughts in this way, you can calm the mental chatter and develope a far more positive and happy voice inside your head.

Turn Your Dreams Into Reality – Stop Self Sabotaging

The power of you and your unconscious mind.

Do you fear leaving your usual comfort zone?

Does the red flag run up the flag pole for you when you think about taking a calculated risk?

Would you rather not have to deal with the unknown?

If the answer is yes, then these are some of the ways in which you manage to sabotage your own progress and your chances of living the life of your dreams.

Because of the fear of the unknown, you procrastinate; you have ready made excuses why you cannot do something, you avoid opportunities and even more crucially you don’t even notice what is out there for you to enable you to fully develop yourself and live the life of your dreams.

“If you think you can or think you can’t, you will be right either way”!

You can learn how to overcome these self sabotaging mechanisms that you have put in place and instead develop some really useful resources to use in your everyday life.

Turn Your Dreams Into Reality With The Dream Team

The power of you and your unconscious mind.

Did you know that your unconscious mind cannot tell the difference between a real event and an imaginary one?

Do you believe that your current reality is what is true and fixed for your life?

Did you know that your inner world creates your outer world?

So how can you change this…. by correcting all these limiting beliefs you have had all these years.

Here are 3 keys to get you started:

  1. Focus on what you want to see happen in your life and not what you don’t want

  2. Stop watching the news and listening to all the doom and gloom of our present economy

  3. Start engaging in positive self talk and affirmations and mix with people who encourage you and are willing to help you to reach your full potential

These steps will help your mind to focus on what you really want, more success, more happiness, more joy, more money etc.

One Minute Wisdom No 2

"Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference". - Winston Churchill

One Minute Wisdom No 1

"How you define happiness is a hoax. Happiness is not a search; it's a choice. And you won't ever find happiness until you are willing to accept that you are what you seek." - Robert Holden

Don’t Be An April Fool…Different Results Require Different Actions

It’s the first of April and so we are a quarter of the way through the year, how are your New Year's Resolutions coming along?

Have you been checking things off your list?

Are you on track or could you use some help?

In reality you are in one of three positions: above, on or below target.

We are a quarter of the way through the year so now is the right time to review your current situation. Is it working or is it not?

Don’t be an April Fool and keep going down the same road if you are not getting the results you want. So, take a look at this highly effective process for evaluating your performance and your results to date.

Let's get started... The five keys are as follows:

  1. Looking closely at my performance so far, how am I doing? Am I achieving the goals I set at the beginning of the year?

  2. If I continue along the road I am travelling using my current strategies, behaviours, beliefs and performance, how will I be doing by mid year?

  3. What am I going to do starting today to get myself back on track?

  4. What new strategies and habits must I implement in order to improve my performance & reach my goals?

  5. What existing strategies and habits must I change in order to improve my performance & reach my goals?

Now is the right time to take action and if necessary, correct your performance before too many months pass you by.

Be really honest with yourself when you go through the 5 keys because what you focus on is what you get, so be certain your focus is where it needs to be.

Now you have the 5 answers you need to allow yourself to take the next steps to success. Act now, today, don’t wait just do it. Just do one small thing today and see how much better you feel by the end of the day. If you are pleased with your performance year to date and are on target, then keep going as you are and please feel free to add any tips to this blog to help others.
